I agree with the sentiments! Also, a big oversight on my part is
forgetting to mention
that the dac has two outputs, 3.5mm and 4.4mm. There is no output on
dmesg connecting headphones to 3.5 jack (I do not have the possibility
to try 4.4 now)

I have a USB-C type DAC for my headphones which has a 3.5mm connector.
The DAC is a Ifi GO link MAX.
My laptop is a Thinkpad x13 gen2 (Intel processor) and while the sound
works through azalia0 and the 3.5 jack, it would be great to be able
to use the DAC for hifi vibes.
