This is rather off topic ... but can the cisco be configured not to
complain about this ? Is there a howto / configuration example available
explaining how to setup the cisco and the OpenBGPD side when "depend on"
is enabled ?

When booting the machine with bsd.mp the problem does not end up with
a Kernel panic but the interface stops to transmit packets.
Tcpdump works fine but I can not send out anything (checked on the

Could you put a note into the boot(8) manpage to set flowcontroll to none
when on the terminal side when using a serial console. I had
trouble with different nullmodem cables and the serial console.
They all went away when setting flowcontroll to none
