correctly, you might be talking about Hyzaar 100/25 which FDB would
strength as each for dose checking, etc. In these situations I edit the
drug ID and that shows everywhere that I have found. It seems to work

current hospital meds, the home meds (from a NUR CDS) and then gives a
section for doc to write the new scripts and give to patient for their
pharmacy. In our state, it is valid for controlled medications. We are

during an admit over $1000. We use this to try and catch billing

I just wrote a NPR to write out a comma-delimited file that I link from MS
Access to manipulate the data. It works fine. I have heard there are
some 3rd-party OBDC (MS Access can directly link to OBDC) drivers that link
to Meditech but I haven't explored them.
We are using Access eForms to print all forms, which includes the
patient data. These are printed at the time they are needed. That way
we have no more embossers and no more NCRs. The order sheets are then
scanned to Pharmacy.

Title: Acudose STAT/NOW orders showing for only a short time??
We
solved this by setting up a SIG of ONE and a order type of ONE. The Pyxis
interface was then altered so when it saw this combination come in the message
it set the DC date 2 hours from start time and set the ONE DOSE flag.
We are MAGIC 5.5.3. We just moved from Medispan to FirstDataBank. We
moved because FirstData was the only vendor that allowed us to move to
the 1B allergy checking. One difference that we have discovered is that
FirstDataBank doesn't included medications that have been discontinued
greater than 2
We currently Deactivate (DA) the order and then Reactivate (RA) when the
doc writes to do so. This allows us to still show the meds on our
medications transfer form as held and give them a chance to order it
when the patient moves around. We also are Pyxis Profile and it shows
as held there, also
Not quite accurate. Our Pyxis 3000 handles the DA (deactivated) and RA
(reactivated) correctly. The drug shows on the patient profile at the
station but shows on on hold and unavailable to take out.

Hi, Charlie. Respectfully, I'm going to disagree. I think the lookup
is the Brand name of the drug. This makes it easier for non-pharmacy
users to be more exact. I've noticed that if the strength is included in
the Brand name it seems to be there. I do realize that not having DCN
100 doesn't fit
They have access to override. We have a separate override group just for
them. House moms also can override the meds. We monitor to make sure
only in emergent situations.

learned here. Meditech can run a utility to "purge" the Medispan data.
However, they are breaking the ties to things. The allergies still
reside on all the drugs just don't do anything because they are purged
