For those of you who are live with BMV/EMAR 5.6 are you having an issue with
the inability to change the dose on dispensing machine over ride meds? And
if you are, how are you handling this?
As it is now, if I pull Ativan 2 mg/ml from the pyxis as an over ride dose,
but only want to give 1 mg

Hi, We are trying to create a policy for patient naming conventions to
be utilized house wide at our facility. We have end users entering in
patient names various ways when it comes to hyphenated names, names
that have a period within them (St.James), names that have a Jr or Sr
associated to them

I personally use a scripting tool mostly for dictionary edits (both Magic
and CS) - I "download" to an Excel spreadsheet, do the edits there
(especially helpful for mass edits to a single field), and then "script" the

We have RXM in both our ED and Physician Offices using MPM. In both
areas we use our regular laser printers and load it with security
watermarked paper. It has worked out well for us.

Hi All,
I need your assistance with a couple questions if you are using eMAR. We
are Magic 5.5
1. Medication range orders - How are your orders for medications with a
range placed in Pharmacy? I'll give an example. The order is for
Morphine 1-5mg IV. We have 2mg, 4mg, and 10mg Tubex's in Pyxis.
I have bombarded MEDITECH with emails to expedite the process re: this
issue. Hopefully you can do the same just to give them more pressure.
Haven't heard from them again except that it is on the development
stage.
