Congratulations on the new hardware! In order to get to your home screen or the
screen before you slide your finger from the middle bottom of the screen and
when you hear the second tone, release it. To get to the app switcher wait till
you hear three tones your sliding up and that will open up.
Just do a three fingerflip up and it will close t he o ne that you’re currently
on.

Yes you can upgrade from 4s and up. Some features may not be available such as
3d touch but I have just done a 5c. The time of reboot was somewhat extended
however and took me about half an hour.

Two things you can do. 1) Try vlc it plays all my avi's. Also you may try
getting quicktime to search for items that will be able to play. I use one
called divix plus that I got through asking for quick times recommendations.

I hear ya. I looked hard at the mac after my first 2 months, and have
sort of had the opposite experience. I rarely scan and since work does
not allow any but their pcs and proprietary stuff on it, this is not
an issue. My needs are some networking related stuff, reading and
writing, altho
interesting, what happens/doesn't happen. I am right this very moment
greedily slirping up bandwidth using utorrent to gobble my happy stuff
on to the hard drive.
