trying to figure out the time thing to, so thought I'd open the mail

When you checked the box for applescripts to be run via vo, have you  
enabled keyboard commander and made sure that the option key selected  
meets your needs?
It only allows choice between left or right so i don't think that it's  
an either option key sort of thing.
