The question may now depend on what your doing and personal preference. Personally I use dom mode simply because I never got in to using group mode at all. Perhaps for some pages group mode is more appropriate however with some of the dhtml at least in current version of vo, dom may provide

What we have is an opportunity to point out the few negatives that matter to apple such as mixing the commandsets together from osx and vo, real good stuff to look at, but the rest of it is pretty much a statement of praising windows os and the way that those screen readers handle things.
