I haven't seen that in the year and a half I have been using VoiceOver, but
Jaws does it on an average of at least once a day... Is that good enough to
qualify for top screen reader in the world?

The only one I know of at this time is Eye-Pal. YYou purchase the Windows
version from www.abisee.com for $1,250, and you then can download the Mac
version and install it on your Mac from the Abisee website. The same camera
hardware is used both for Windows and Mac. It works fairly well, but
I have a Braillino with the latest firmware and Bluetooth upgrade. You are

The Canon Lide 210 can be used with the Mac. You should be able to install
them from the CD that came with your scanner. If not you can also get them
from the Canon website. I have the Canon Lide 200 and just installed it
this evening on my MacBook Pro with drivers I downloaded from the Canon

Google home has its' own voice. However, if you are connecting an iPhone to
your Google home via Bluetooth you will hear whatever voice you are using on
the iPhone on your Google Home.
The point being that when you are using the Google assistant the voice will
be hearing is the Google Assistant
You should find it pretty good it takes a little getting used to but I have
found if you use the search you can use it fine about anything you want fairly
easily.

Yes, they are expensive, and not the right choice for everyone out there. I
like my Active Braille, but my employer purchased it. Not every blind person
has the opportunity
Actually the last time I looked Braille Edge was $2,995.00.
I know a lot of folks who own Edge and are very happy with it. it is about
the best value for its price and features.
