I haven't seen that in the year and a half I have been using VoiceOver, but Jaws does it on an average of at least once a day... Is that good enough to qualify for top screen reader in the world?

Subject: Is the disappearance of Voice Over a unique problem, or do others have it, too?

Hi everyone,

I am using Snow Leopard V 10.6.6 on a Mac Book with 4 GB/RAM. For reasons I do not understand, I occasionally lose Voice Over, especially when I am using Mail.

Though the problem is not limited to Mail, Voice Over just seems to "unload itself," and the only thing I can do is repeatedly hit Command F5 until VO decides to make an appearance. Its disappearance is apparently random, i.e. I can't make it disappear at will.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? If not, what might be causing it? Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.

My best to all of you,

Mike
