will allow me to install the screen reader. My question is JFW or NVDA. That
will depend on how well NVDA can access our specialised programs. I would
prefer to avoid the several hundred dollar JFW upgrade cost as my JFW license
is 5 years out-of-date..

Yes, but the organisation does not support Apple (save for iPads), so they will
probably require OneDrive. I personally would prefer iCloud. I seriously doubt
they will accept dropbox.

Yes, the desktops are bloody underpowered Windows 7 dumb terminals which just
login to the secure Citrix server.

Step outside the US, and Alexa falls apart. Unlike Siri and Google, Alexa does
not support anything outside it's limited geographical area. This is why it is

We upgraded to the new Sonos Play Base to go with our new 70" Samsung TV. We
needed to factory reset all the Sonos speakers in the house to get them working
with the new configuration. It took about an hour.

Hi Scott,
I really like that suggestion. I had not considered it. Now, to figure out how

PlayBase is the update to the PlayBar. It is a large flat rectangle. It beams
sound around the room, giving a more dynamic listening experience.

I set up NetFlix myself.
My partner had to go into settings and turn VoiceAssist on for the FireStick.

Well, I was unaware of how to start VoiceView independently. It is good to know
that one can do so without needing to initially set up in settings.

The sound is definitely better from the PlayBase. My partner gave me one for
Easter.. Sonos Playbar is popular enough that we were able to sell it for just
a hundred less than we paid for it on eBay.

Apple currently has a few blind people
working in this position.
I went through the first interview for this position in Australia, but found a
beter position, in my chosen field, so removed myself from Apple's hiring cycle.

Interesting considering that they have some blind people working in the
position. If it is not accessible, they have accessible work-arounds in place.
