Yes. Tails and Tor merged recently so this is basically an all-purpose

Brian,You can create an Apple script using the following and bind it to a keyboard shortcut using the keyboard commander in VoiceOver utilities. I don’t remember if this list is set up to accept attachments, but I’ve included a copy of the script just in case. set cmd to "/usr/bin/pmset -g batt | g
Hi Donna:
You mention not caring about camera and screen which I certainly agree
with. I suspect most of us on this list would agree.
I am likely not upgrading from my iPhone SE at this time, though were I
to upgrade I'd be giving a serious look to the foldables available on

Yes, Speak Battery Status is now a VoiceOver command, so you don’t need to use
the shell script function.
It can be reached as already mentioned with the VO-F8 three times, or you can
assign it to any of the commanders that are available.

Hi Pete,
The swiping gesture isn’t that hard, I don’t think you’ll have much problem
getting used to it.
Now that you mention the audio, I’m remembering something about that from the
Apple event. I’m glad you mentioned it, I would have completely forgotten
about it. Now you’ve got me rethinki

Hi Janina,
I completely agree about the size thing. If the SE were more powerful and more
upgradable, I’d buy it in a heartbeat. I still miss the Home button. And yes,
before anyone jumps down my throat, I’ve completely adjusted to the swipe up
gesture. But I still prefer the home button.
Hey Pete,I would love to hear more about your work with the Portland airport. I have to say I hate that airport with a passionn! That is the longest bloody walk to baggage claim that I have ever seen, which is a problem for somebody with bad knees coming off of a four hour flight. It’s the only air

Is there a voice-Over command key combo I can use to find out the battery

Hi, the way I do it is I press the BOM key twice This gets me into the status
menu. I then use the left and right arrows to walk through the items, and one
of them is battery level. It will give you the percentage and whether it’s
charging or not. Hope this helps.

Brian,
Try doing VO M twice to get to Menu extras. Then just VO right-arrow to battery
status and VO should read it out loud. Press escape to close it out.

Thanks Brad and Jason. Your answer is what I expected. So, now I need to
figure out what went wrong on my upgrade. All those commands were
working as expected before the upgrade.

In past upgrade efforts, I’ve run in to similar issues with VoiceOver
preferences getting corrupted and causing wonky behavior. You might try
exporting all of your VO preferences and resetting all VoiceOver settings back
to defaults to see if that resolves the issue. If it does, you could try
Hard to think that the upgrade would have anything to do with what you're

I would first suggest you try restarting your machine.
