Hi all,
Just FYI, don't buy an Airport router right now. Apple pulled them from its

chances are high that this indicates a refresh. The below article also notes
that it could be due to changing regulations, but even

Hi Simon,
Yes, for sure, the Extreme can be set to Bridge mode. Setting it to Bridge
mode turns off all DHCP and NAT services so that those can be provided by your
ISP. The setting for this is under the Network pane of the Airport Utility.
The Router mode pop-up menu allows you to choose DHC
Hi,
In the past, we never used to need the Remote app and Apple's support articles
also don't claim that the Remote app is needed. I would guess that it's either
an iOS bug or that there are ports blocked that need open.
See https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT202190 and any related links.

Hi,
Figured it out. It's not a bug, nor a blocked port issue. They've just
changed the way it's accessed. If Home Sharing is set up correctly on your
computer and iDevice, then using your iPhone, go to the My Music tab, move your
finger to the top of the screen where VO announces "My Account
Hi all,
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but why would anyone want to do this? I
mean, if the music on your Mac and your phone are the same, why not just
homeshare from your Mac?
Cheers,

Hi Donna,
If you have a large media collection on your Mac that just won't fit on your
iPhone, and if the majority of this media is not purchased so not available in
iCloud without an Apple Music or iTunes Match subscription, then streaming
music from your Mac through your iPhone may be desirab

Hi all,
I have a video I shot on my phone that I would like to export to a format that
can be viewed on a non-Apple device. I found the export option in Quicktime,
but couldn't tell which option I should choose. Can anyone tell me how to do
this?
Thanks,

Yep, Tim has it right. The trick is the categories selector. Home Sharing
will appear only when there is a Home Sharing iTunes library, i.e. iTunes is
running and Home Sharing was switched on.

Hi,
The first three options are HD versions of the movie and are meant for larger

although the Apple TV does transfer well to big screen TV's. The iTunes

I must still not have something set correctly. Everything is on the

not using firewall. Home Sharing is on on both Mac and iPhone.

Hi,
It sounds like you have everything set correctly. The difference at the
moment, is that I have my Music app showing my iTunes in the Cloud purchases.
That shouldn't really make a difference, but I'll test things some a little
later and get back to you.

It is possible to set both description and name using AppleScript.
Not sure if that would be any help though
I could also get the file path of the photograph from AppleScript, so perhaps
we could figure out how to sent the photo to Microsoft's AI engine and then

Hi Simon,
You could test this scenario with your Express. Use the same instructions I

know if it would work with the Extreme.
