Well, I learned a tip! Apparently I had filters key on, and all I had to do
was hold down the right shift key for about 8 seconds, then listen for a bleep.
It works now!
Thank you for your input,

That’s why for me that place in Canada sounded familiar. I remember Tim very
well on this list so I’m glad he’s OK. It must be extremely hard for disabled
people when a natural disaster happens. If anyone gets in touch with Tim,
please let him know that people on the Macvisionary list are thi
I have a new Apple TV four. When Apple TV is connected via HDMI to our TV set
and the audio goes to the TV speakers, which are awful, there is no problem
with voiceover. When the sound bar that we have is connected to the TV via
digital optical cable, and there is audio coming through it on a mo
I have the same problem with my sound system. My guess is it has something
to do with power saving technology that doesn't activate the speakers
unless sound is being produced. The short bursts produced by Voiceover
aren't enough to keep the system alive. I would love better suggestions if

Thanks, Larry. The only Bluetooth headset I have is an old Plantronics that I
use if I'm out somewhere and want to read something on my iPhone. In other
words, it's just an old earpiece with the microphone, not a real headset. What
headset do you have?

Probably is not germane to the aforementioned issue. The squeaky
wheel gets the grease.
That said, 1Password works reasonably well and any quirks or bugs
can be worked around. Its not a disaster. Or else I do not know what the
word means.

Haven't used tvOS before, but if my memory serves me well, the solution for
such a problem on the iPhone was to sign in to iCloud.

I suspect you have this right. I have a Mac Mini hooked to a surround

for the receiver to figure out what kind of signal is being sent before
it wakes up and starts putting sound out the speakers. Maybe newer

No, it isn’t fixed, but for all that, I’m still using it. It’s annoying that
you have to paste your secrets in from the clipboard, but it can be done and
does work, and really, 1Password is most useful from iOS anyway. Just don’t
generate any passwords and you’ll be all right.
