Hi Sadam, I think you will really be happy with the MBA. You can restore from a time-machine backup, that is what I did. It was three years ago, and a different OS, so I don't remember all the steps now, but my memory is that it was pretty straight forward. Have fun on Friday! Cheers, Donna

Hi, Assuming you have the backup already created, here is what you do. Plug the external drive in to your new macbook air. Now, press command - r and you should boot in to recovery mode. Turn on voiceover and you should see a few options. Interact with the table and select restore from timemachine
