the iPhone to either an Apple Store or mobile carrier store and show them what

The steps I would take are: First, reboot the phone by turning it off and then

Ray, only way I see to get around it is to start writing name of the person and
then all numbers will show up. However you are correct. It sure does enter the
home number if you go into contacts and tap on iPhone number.

What fooled me was that I had three options: an iPhone, a home phone, and an
email. Messages would allow me to select the iPhone an email, but not the home
phone.
I can confirm that this bug exists after removing the iPhone number. I think
Do cmd-l to bring up the address bar and it should say the url and "contents
selected". Do cmd-c to copy and then paste it where you want it by doing cmd-v.
