For most people this is a perfectly reasonable solution until the minor bug is addressed. For a minority with different usage needs or a lower tollerence to imperfection however this is of high importance. If a keyboard or Braille display is used a distance from the I device for example moving to the device every time may be highly irritating and if there is a mobility issue through disability a broken foot etc etc this little bug gains a lot more importance.
Regardless write to apple and help it get fixed for the good of us all as a bug is a bug is a bug and full functionalety via brl display or qwerty is the aim and intent. I don't want to have to pull my phone out of my bag on the train to write a message. Is it the end of the world, no but it is a pain. Smile. Danny.
