How about if you put it in your Drop box so when you have another machine, give
it access to your drop box, will it work? As my VMWARE is in my Drop box
folder. Mind you you have to have a lot of space in your drop box.

You should be able to just grab your virtual machine file and copy it

Wonder if you can do the old 'target mode' thing on the MB Air (hold
down T during startup) to make it into the world's most expensive
external hard drive. Then connect it via USB to your old Mac and it
should show up as a drive. Then you could use SuperDuper to clone your

Hi,
Apologies if this seems like a silly question, but if Voiceover announces that
something is clickable on a web page, in OSX how do I click/activate it? I've
tried VO space as well as return, but haven't had any joy.
Many thanks,

Hi Vivianna,
A button is a single control such as the Send button on a form. A Pop-Up
button or pop-up menu is a menu which you can activate with VO-Spacebar. Once
the pop-up is open, use VO and the up or down arrow keys to review what's in
the menu. Then make your selection with VO-Spacebar

A button is just something you select, such as ok or cancel. A pop up
button usually opens a menu of choices, much like a drop list in windows.

Hi Ed,
To add to what Teresa said, when you use VO-Space this is a VoiceOver-specifc
software shortcut that means "perform the default action" for a given situation

specific software shortcut for clicking your mouse

Someone apparently tried to hack my Gmail account, and I had to go reset the
password on the Gmail site, which I did successfully. However, my Iphone STILL
won't log me in, even though my Macbook Pro will, and I've obviously reset the

This message serves partially as a test of my iPhone and Gmail, having gone
through the rigmarole of changing passwords. It also is a chance for me to ask
whether anyone else's observing problems with Gmail?
Be well.

The problem with changing your password so often, even if you use a mnemonic,
as I do, to remember several different passwords, is it there are so many of
them. Also, there are several variations within the Numonics paradigm which can
lead you to strike out on login sites that don't allow you mo
I use a program here called pwgen to generate 20+ character strings that have
numbers, letters and symbols. These can be very strong. Also, in order for
someone to check all possible variations on a 20 character password would take
more than the available lifespan of the planet thus far.
