Hi, folks: I'm curious if any of you actually use VirtualBox. If any of you on this list are the command line geek type, and have delbt with VBoxManage to setup and configure, a VM. I'd be curious, once ht emain VM is powered up, how you've delbt with things like: Grabbing your keyboard input, so that OS X is not grabbing it, etc. How do you go about this for those of you that may in fact use it? Fusion at least for me has many sound card issues, and draw backs. Virtual Box, has some perfformance benifits that Fusion doesn't offer. I don't necessarily need a fully accessible VoiceOVer GUI. Also, don't forget. That right now, VirtualBox is written in QT 4. When QT 5 comes out, one of it's goals will be to make everything use Coco. I assume that then,, most of the stuff that doesn't work, will. Another reason I want ot use VirtualBox is that it allows you to directly use Core audio on the Mac directly, compared to these emulated sound card tricks VMware sues. I'm just curious, if anybody on this list has worked out workarounds, etc rahter than jumpt on the complaining list of blind people wishing that VirtualBox worked etc with VoiceOver? I'm seeing this kind of trend a lot. Loads of Mac folks are creating petitions, even for thigns like Logic Pro 9. Sure. VoiceOver can't use Logic necessarily, at least not all of it. I'd even be curious about Logic ten. But the program does have keyboard commands. I think it's important, to use what we have today. Not wish what we could have tomorrow as blind Mac users, all of that being said. Particularly with things like VirtaulBox, and Logic, etc. maybe other apps exist that aren't "accessible", but that does not make them necessarily "unuseable." The only example, where I've thought: "This is utterly inaccessible!" is when I've gotten the occasional "AppNameHere has no windows." Grin. Have a great day folks! :)
