It occurs to me to wonder whether perhaps you might have been trying to scan
the blank side of a one-sided page. Just a thought.
Oh, I should point out that I too could not find the "page idindification
setting either. Surely, you meant "quick capture"?

There is an option for Settings. Once you go into settings, there is a button
four-page identification. Apparently, that is turned off by default. That needs
to be turned on so that voiceover will tell you to go to the left and play
little musical tones, and also tell you the word away
It's in Prizmo itself and not in the stock settings app.

Hi again y'all
I have some questions about the iPad from a totally blind person's perspective.
I have a totally blind friend who is debating the issue of an iPad versus an
iPhone. I am leaning toward her getting an iPhone, but she has another totally

Personally, I'd go for the iPhone. If you are going to pay for a data plan, you
may as well have accessible texting, contact management, caller ID, missed call
information, and so on in addition to the advantages of iOS apps. The iPad does
not have as good a camera as the iPhone, but it may work

Hi Gigi,
I think it depends a lot on your friend. How comfortable is she with tech in
general? Do you think she would be comfortable on a larger screen? In my
opinion, the larger screen has advantages and disadvantages. The disadvantage
of course is that it's more complicated to navigate, e
Hi,
lining up objects with the camera from an iPad is no different than that of an

Hello,
I should suppose that note master on the iPhone can open both, doc and docx
files . However, with doc-files, the application is not coming up when opening
a attachment with the doc-extension.
Is this really true or a kind of bug/missing feature?

What kinds of things does your friend what to do with an iPhone/ipad?

I'm not real sure exactly what she wants to do on the iPhone or the iPad.

Hello,
Since she's happy enough with her phone, Have you suggested to her possibly
getting an iPod touch? Its more portable, and has all the hardware
functionality of an iPad pretty much. It's also cheaper.

Hi Gigi,
I think any of the options are very good. The camera in the iphone is a much
higher resolution but the Ipad camera is good enough for most things. As for
size and price considerations she might look at the Ipad mini. It is
definately smaller and easier to deal with than the Ipad.

Hi all,
I'm currently using my notes app as a food journal. In some respects, this is
working very well for me. It's on my Mac and my iDevices; it also syncs across
them all.
In other ways, I'm finding some shortcomings for my needs. Any time I go in

I have still not been able to get it to fully work with the update,
but it may just be I'm not doing something right.
I get the text prompts about orienting the page, and once its right, I
press Take Picture.
Usually it doesn't do anything or just gives tones, and I'm not sure
what the tones mean
I think she already does own an iPhone.

When you get the iPhone above what you're scanning, have you been double
tapping the screen, being very careful to hold it as level as possible when it
says it's detected the page? If it doesn't make that picture taking sound, you
haven't done the picture.

The tones will play until it has a good shot then it will take the
