  Hi,

It sounds to me that you have your settings set correctly. I don't use
PopMail anymore so can't check it myself on my iPhone but according to Apple's
support article at

  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3228?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

it looks like you've done it right. Sometimes, things don't delete as quick
as they should from servers, especially from iOS connections. Sometimes, iOS
access is routed a little different than from a Desktop unit so things don't
happen as promptly as they should.

That's the best explanation I can come up with for now. If you continue to
have problems, post again and I'll dig deeper.

  Later...

I have a pop email account with Comcast, and I want to setup IOS mail to
remove messages from the server when I read them so that when I check my mail

Outlook express removes the messages, but I can't figure out how to get IOS
mail to do the same.

in the IOS mail settings for comcast, under advanced, I see two settings
that look promising. The first is under the "deleted messages" heading, and the
setting says "after one week". other options are "never", "after 1 day", and
"after 1 month".

The other setting is towards the bottom of the advanced settings page, and
says
"delete from server". I have it set to "when removed from inbox", and the
other choices are "never", and "7days".

When I check my mail from the iPhone, I get all my messages, and delete
them after reading them. Then later, when I check mail from windows outlook
express, I get all the same messages that I deleted on the iPhone. But, when I
first read them from Outlook Express, then check mail from the iPhone, all
those messages are gone since OE deleted them off the server after reading them.

How can I get them off the server after reading them from the iPhone?
