I exported my favourites to Dropbox, and then imported that file from Dropbox

that's what their employers insist upon. Making MS Office would make the Mac

The VO-m three times is no longer available as a Spotlight shortcut. The
cmd-space is a built-in function of the Mac so you shouldn't need to create it
yourself. Not entirely sure why yours is not working but you could just use
cmd-f (Find) when in the Finder which accesses the same engin

It would work with time machine. Your portable drive would show there. You
could configure what to save to portable. It shouldn't affect your iTunes.
