I don't think Sara would have joined this thread if Microsoft were not 
interested in making MS Office for Mac accessible.

However, I agree with you that making the Mac a viable alternative to Windows 
for blind people would not seem a likely incentive for Microsoft. Hence I am a 
little puzzled why so many people seem to be posting about this issue, rather 
than about what in particular Sara and her team at Microsoft could do to make 
Microsoft Office for Mac more accessible.

Personally, I'm already using a Mac, as I guess are most people on this list. 
Making MS Office for Mac accessible would make me a loyal purchaser of MS 
Office for Mac, which I am not currently. I would likely continue to still use 
Windows in some capacity as I do now given work requirements and better support 
for reading PDFs.
