You can always buy the Amazon Basics keyboard, it works like the Apple Keyboard
but it has a switch rather than the power button. There are other differences
but you can still use it on the Mac as well as your I Pod.

had mine for three years now with no problems and that's with kids
beating on it and a bunch of trips riding in my backpack. Seems like the
