My spreadsheet is now over 100 rows long and it is growing. Increasingly,
Numbers has become extremely sluggish, so much so that it is driving me mad.

I tried to duplicate this with a spreadsheet with over 220 rows but did not get
the same result. Granted, your sheet may be more complicated than mine with
more formulas and calculations. Have you tried turning Cursor Tracking off
(fn-VO-shift-f3 when navigating through the sheet?

Your best bet is to contact Apple to discuss specs for the 2 machines. I have
a 21 inch model, and at the time, I believe I bought the fastest processor they

Highlight the file or folder, and press your enter key. This is the key to keys
to the Right of the letter L. This will bring you into an edit field, where you
can simply type the new name of the file or folder. Simply pressing enter again
will rename the file or folder. I hope this helps.

well. here's the deal with that:
it will not read you what you're typing, but it will actually search, so say,
if you type mauricio almeida and either press enter

When you're focused on the file or folder, hit your return key. This will
then present you with a text box with the folder or file name which you can
edit/rename at free will. When done, hit return again to accept the change.

did help reduce iTunes busy and Safari busy messages, however.
