If by connecting by ethernet you mean connecting the ethernet cable to the
airport express and in airport utility selecting the option to setup with
ethernet connection, I've tried that.
It just sits there saying busy.

manually set the airport or go through the assisted procedure which gives you
less flexibility over your options.

Yeah you can except all I see as i hve about 2 or 3 accounts on adium is my
email address. I can't tell which one I'm using when I hit new message. I wish
they would fix that. it is the same in IChat.
