I don't know whether reinitialising the PRAM will solve your problem, but it
fixed some strange behaviour I was getting recently.
To do this, shut down your computer, then hold down the following keys:
Command, Option, letter P, and letter R. With all four keys held down, press

I think it happens because Alex analyzes a paragraph before speaking
it. That's like the issue with nambu and nahmbu, probably. When its a
whole text that is read it is analyzed first. However, when it sees
paragraphs such as in html it will see it as a whole thing.

Apple has been aware of this problem since Snow Leopard was released. Since it
hasn't yet been fixed, I can only assume that it's a particularly difficult

What messages do you need sounds for? New messages? In that case, just add a
sound to the "group chat" event. That applies to IRC as well as regular group

cable to your router, download and install the app, and you've got control of

new Macbooks have two usb drives. the Mac mini has four but one is taken up
with the keyboard unless one gets a bluetooth one I think.
