Hey Dean; I hear you man. I was speaking to a lady friend of mine
the other night. She is the one who told me I needed to get on
facebook in the first place. She is totally sighted using a windows
computer and after 30 minutes of trying to figure out how to move her

Hi
No. If your device supports charging via USB, it will immediately
begin to charge when plugged into any powered USB port. It doesn't
matter what the os on the host is, all the device needs is for the
connection to be established so it can draw the power it needs.

Will, you should be able to charge any usb device on the Mac. As
you well know, the usb on the Mac is standard. So this really would be
a feature concerned with your device itself. For future reference,

sorry, -not going to do that on the list.My door is

Listers whom have speech on their mobile devices are most likely
already familiar with the lists those screen reader companies provide,
so this is way OT for this list.
Hi all
Since downloading the new version of iTunes I have immediately found
that bug that was mentioned where simply tabbing around a bunch causes
voiceover to go silent. I wonder if someone around here wouldn't
happen to have an older version of iTunes on hand?

Hi Justin
You can get 8.0.2 by going to this Apple support page:
iTunes 8.0.2 for Mac
and click the download link.
Note that downgrading is a bit of a pain, not only do you need to
remove 8.1 manually but you'll also have to rebuild your library, as
8.1 changed its format, probably to handle th
Hi,
There is a tidbit of Mac and USB info to share here though. Low
voltage in a USB series can cause devices not to charge or function
properly. What I mean by a series is a chain of connected USB
devices that run off a single USB powered bus. So for example, if
you have a power hungry d
Hi Scott
Very true, this is why all of my stationary USB hubs are always self-
powered by their own AC adapter. There's only so much power a USB port
can provide.
One very nice feature of OS X is that it will let you know when this
occurs. When a USB device cannot draw the required amount of

Hello to all, sorry for this e-mail.
I have read about some of you having trouble with Itunes i.e. your
Music.
as being deafblind myself i never open itunes but have been thinking
of this even when i go out walking with my Guide dog.
I had a little thought if you make a alias file folder
I made a alias to my i tunes podcast folder and put it in the dock. I
do not have a ipod but I do have a victor reader stream. Now I can go
to the dock and open the folder and copy the podcasts to my stream.

James, yes, you can create an alias on your desktop which points to
your ITunes folder if you like. Some people don't prefer the ITunes
interface as much as others, so this gives them a way to access their
music in finder as you suggest.
Enjoy your day and thank you for your email!…
Actually you don't need to go back to the older version, just use the
voice over navigation keys instead, that will work fine.

The whole syncing industry regularly gets messed up by Apple software
