Help Anne. I guess I don't know what I'm doing. I got the free version, which
is ok for now. I got it to scan, but it put the scan into a jpg file. I figured
out how to set it for text, ok. Now I can't figure out how to get it to talk
the text. Do I go to the output tab to put in a file name to
Thanks Anne
I will check it out. I think I'm going to go ahead and get it. At times I need
a more complex scanner then I have for Abby fine reader. I think if I were
cited, Abby fine reader would be enough.

Hello Gigi,
VueScan isn't in the appstore. You get it from:
www.hamrick.com
It costs $39 for one year or $79 for life. We've had this application for over
ten years now, so life does mean life!
VueScan is kept up-to-date on Mac, Windows and Linux, with updates every few
days if you want them.
Hi Anne.
I went searching for Vuescan in the app store. I got back Exact Scan. Since the
one I found was $129, I want to make sure I get the right thing.

Gigi

Hello Chris,
It works fine with my Canon Lide 110 and I can scan multiple pages although it
isn't as easy as with VueScan. You have to click Resume then use the window
chooser to get back to the scanner window. However, it does work.
When scanning a book, I usually scan a chapter at a time so I
Hi.
Thank you for the tip.
Was there an easy way to scan multiple documents at once?
I tried a demo of it and it wouldn't let me scan multiple pages.
Also, it didn't seam to work with my canon scanner very well.
Thanks.

Hello Chris,
ABBYY FineReader Express is very good and can handle up to three languages in
one text. I've been using it for a couple of years and am very satisfied with
it.
My objection to DocuScan is that it only handles English which is no problem
for many people, but for those of us who liv
otice the "express" in the name as opposed to other flavors of the app. I

Hi all.
Are there any good scanning apps in the app store?
I know docuscan is a good solution.
I have a canon scanner and would just need to scan to word format or even
text.
