I’ve been having to use PowerPoint more for my college classes, and it seems
very difficult to use. Any tips or resources for using it more accessibly with
VoiceOver? Last time, I did my best but had Aira tweak things to look better,
but I’d like to be able to do as much as possible myself
I rarely use PowerPoint on any operating system, and when I do, it's
generally for reading someone else's presentation.
So I don't have suggestions to offer, except that you should also try
Apple's KeyNote (part of iWorks) as it may be more accessible under Mac
OS than Mi
I’ve now gotten to the point with Omnicommander, where we’re now trying to do
presentations via Powerpoint on the most common issues we’re finding each month
with the web sites we’re testing/auditing, so we can start conveying to these
various companies not only what we’re finding inaccessible

My only suggestion would be to install it on a real machine, not in a VM. You
could repartition the disk and set up a dual boot configuration.

KeyNote is quirky but manageable.

I've never made a PowerPoint presentation, either in Windows or on the mac. Is
there anything I should know as far as how I write it? Since it does bullet
points, I guess it does them automatically in the body text area, but do I need
to be careful how much text I put on each line

Check it first, though. My sister made a Powerpoint presentation on a Mac and
saved it as a .ppt file, but when she opened it on Windows, her main graphic
was upside down. So yes, it should mostly work, but run through it once on
Windows to be sure everything came out correctly.

PowerPoint for Mac is not accessible with VO, you'll need to use KeyNote, which
is part of the iWork suite.
If you're not familiar with presentation software, you might find it rather
complicated to use.
I don't know how it works on the iPhone.

I'm not sure about reading Powerpoint on the Mac. You can however
save them as RTF in windows and read that on the Mac, or a better
solution, ask the professor to provide you RTF, or some other more
universal format, of the content.

application in iWork. I was able to navigate the spreadsheet by column or row
without difficulty and have edited cells in my very modest spreadsheet. I have
