Hi Dan, I opened an Excel spreadsheet using Numbers which is the spreadsheet application in iWork. I was able to navigate the spreadsheet by column or row without difficulty and have edited cells in my very modest spreadsheet. I have not done anything with formulas, as my needs are very basic. I will be creating a budget soon, however. The spreadsheet I'm using now is one for tracking investments. Hope this helps.
