Thanks, Scott. That is interesting about the data session. Just before doing
the testing I had logged onto mail and fetch some. Then when I didn't get the
numbers I thought I would get, I redid it, having just opened a page in Safari
where I had never been before. And I had Wi-Fi turned off, so
Mary, yes it does.
It tells me that you’re using band 4 or a band that includes the 2.0 ghz range.
So where you are is not using 700 MHZ yet. The reason you didn’t see to much
data filled in is because you didn’t have a recent data session. You need to
pull some data first before running the

Hi, no this is perfectly safe but you were smart to ask the question. The way
to exit is just hit the home button. Once you leave field test mode it stops
and you have to rerun the dial commands. You’ll also know because the bars
will appear again instead of the DB reading.
Hope that helps.
Hi Scott,
Thank you for the instructions. I was on the verge of doing this when I
realized I do not know how to get my phone out of test mode. Is this just a one
time thing and it automatically reverts? Or do I need to do something, and if
so what? You can tell I don't know what I'm doing really
Hi Mary,
SO what you want to do is enter the phone in to test mode.
First, browse somewhere or open your mail, just make sure you generate some
network traffic.
Then go to the phone app and dial *3001#12345#*
and press send
Your phone will enter field test mode. You’ll notice your bars indica
Hi Scott,
I am new to T-Mobile, so I have no history with them to comment on. I have not
noticed any particular difference between my coverage with them and with
Verizon in and around town. I have gotten conflicting word from T-Mobile
regarding the whole issue of band 12 and whether or not it is

Scott,
Did you go from a 6 to a 6s?
I am considering it and wonder if it is worth the upgrade.

Depends on your use case.
If you’re a T-Mobile customer I would suggest it highly because you’ll get the
band 12 (700 mhz) band access that you can’t in the 6. It’s quite a bit faster
although the 6 was fast enough and the battery life is very good.
T-Mobile gave me a good deal, if you can get

Wondering if anyone else if finding their experience while on the cell network
