Hi,
Am I correct in recalling that hot spots are saved? By that I mean for a
given application they persist each time it is opened?
Is there a hot spot preference file that could be saved and reused or some
other method to prevent manual setting each time an application is opened?
Thanks
Thank you very much for this reply and I will try it in due course.

Hi all,
There is a little known, but very useful feature in VoiceOver on the Mac called
hotspots. Want to know what they are, and how you use them? My podcast will
explain everything you need to know about them. I should get the link to it to
the list by the end of the day today. Take care all.

explain hot spots. Hot spots are meant to be used for temporary
purposes. They don't persist if you log out of your account, or quit
an app, or restart your machine. A good example of setting a hot spot
would be if you're reading a book or document in Preview, but
ebook, right?

thout navigating to
it, use VO-Command and the number. If you want VoiceOver to
automatically speak the contents of the hot spot whenever it
changes, use VO-Command-Shift and the number.

Hi,
To set a hotspot, use VO shift and a numerical. It will memorize where your vo
cursor is.
When you want to get back to it after having switched windows, gone to another
app or whatever, vo and the numerical you used to bind the hotspot.
Hope that helps
