Hi,
Why didn't she back up her music? I mean, If you bought a CD and it was lost
or destroyed, wouldn't you have to by another? I do agree that Apple should
allow one to redownload all purchased media though. But if you can take the
initiative, and back up your downloads, you would save a l

OUch! amazon has cheaper music and it comes in goodquality. Also you can burn
them to cd and back them up that way and in my case convert them to mp3 or

Good luck.

It depends on how much compression is used and I'm highly skeptical as to what
the human ear can detect anyway.
I see value in the digital verses analog discussion but not in one digital
verses another. The ear is not nearly as good and

I prefer FLAC. But as you know, we have to fool around to get it to work on the
mac for now. But of course, I doubt Apple will officially support it since they

Why not use lossless compression? Then it's a non issue. CD music is only
44,100 hz so it's not like the highs are that well preserved anyway. You need
to get in to the super audio cd stuf or the higher bit rate recordings to get
interesting quality.

Ricardo,
for me its the quality of the compression from the download that is the issue
that keeps me buying CD's.
When I can get a download at a higher rate, up in the 700kbps range I'll be
happier, and one that let's me download the item within reason as many times as
