as advised, use the quicktime for snow leopard install even for lion. this is because quicktime X is installed in both lion and snow leopard and does not support certain features needed for authoring / import / export.. so yes this is correct, it works in snow leopard, lion, etc. so install it.

ello there. ok. here's the bit of confusion here that a load of users run into. first off, perian is not a direct interface for quicktime to handle offline media, etc, it's a component for the web interface so it works in tandem with a player. in your case, you need another plugin to resolve y

run the pref file. it installs to the system preferences unit. when this happens, it asks for administrative password which you should know or have set. after this it will ask again for the same to confirm changes. system prefs loads and there you go, it's installed ready for use. it's not somet

If you downloaded the app, likely it's in your "downloads," folder as a "dog dmg," file. Locate it, and open it. Within the folder of the same name that is created, find the "dot app," file. Copy and paste it to your "applications folder." Then, open that file to launch the applications. sy
