You can use the hardware keys, but unless your using a keyboard that does not
have a fn key, you won't have this problem. Keep in mind if you do not have a
fn key, your going to have to either reach to the machine to perform this task
(i.e. if you have an external keyboard with a notebook) or co

I am going to assume that you are referring to switching the function keys to
perform software functions instead of hardware functions. If that is the case,
you will find this setting in System Preferences, keyboard, and look for the
following: "Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard functio
If I remember correctly, the fn thing is under keyboard under system prefs. I
don't exactly remember where as I made the change about 6 months ago. lol!

1. I don't remember T¬bird in detail, but you should be able to go to an export
option and save the address book as a .csv (comma separated values text file).
That option should be in the file menu. If it isn't there, it may be in the
option
