Hi Alex,
If you search the mail archive for this list you'll find a number of comments
on using group vs. DOM mode, with most people who use group mode stating that
they prefer to do so because navigation is quicker, and that they'll switch to
this mode when visiting familiar web sites. There
Thanks Ann,
I'll give this a try.

Hello Stacy,
In VoiceOver Utility, in the Web category, you can select Group or DOM
navigation. You can also set a shortcut for one of the commanders to toggle
between these two modes.

Vo-u is a handy feature. I guess my main sticking point is the lack of a flat
representation, so that absolutely every element has to be separated and read
individually, with accompanying pauses in speech even with sounds muted. I
tried grouping once, but it was much more awkward on forums than
Hi Aman.
Have you tried voice over left arrow and voice over right arrow? That's how I
move around the web if I'm not using the rota. However, I do find it difficult
to know when to use the tab key on it's own and when not to.
Does anyone have any comments about this please?
Kawal.

Thanks for this info. I will look in to it as well. I am sure there are some
things in there that I haven't even seen before. lol. So much to learn and so

Hi Aman and GF,
To bring up a list of VoiceOver's web navigation shortcuts try either
bringing up the VoiceOver menu (VO+F7, where "VO" stands for holding
down the VoiceOver keys of Control and Option), and then navigate down
to the "Search" option with your arrow keys or by pressing "s". R
VO + command J will jump you to the next control element.

VO + command and h will move you to headers. I think l moves to links and you
can try others to see what they do. Turn on your keyboard help and play around
with some of the VO + command + letter keys and see what you come up with. I am
sure there are ones for all the things you want to do. if n
Hi, all.
I am slowly getting to grips with the Mac Mini I have here and am
finding it an interesting experience at least. If I may ask, is there any
way to, as one can in the Windows screen readers, move to the next specified
HTML attribute? That is, if I want to move to the next check box,
It's a bug in Safari 4, that was recently introduced, I believe. If
you pres VO-L, it should read the name of the tag for you. It's
reading the MouseOver text, instead of the main text.
