Hi.
I was almost going to schedule an appointment at the Apple store this weekend,
but now I don’t have to. :-) I think I was restarting my phone wrong. I was
hitting the volume in the side button to power it off and then I did the same
thing to restart it. After I hit the side button only, it

Alex,
I think I solved this. In System prefs, Sound. at the bottom where
the mute checkbox is, there's a volume slider. which was at 37%. I set
it to 100%. VO speech has not dipped at all,

I get that problem when switching from internal speakers from bluetooth and
back.
The only fix is restart voiceover.
Also I have found that bug in every release.

I get that here as well. it happens at random across any app I happen to be
running. This only happens on the mac mini here. I don't see it on the iPhone
7 nor does it happen on my OS X Lion macbook either. This tells me that it has
existed in the newer os versions.

Hi Alex,
Yes that is my experience. Its so random, sometimes happens several
times close together, sometimes just s time or two.
Maybe we can do a screen recording, with video and audio and send it
to Apple? And if this continues in the upcoming OS, I will certainly
send feedback then w
Do you mean your speech audio dips, then fades back up to normal? If so, I've
seen that for a couple years, on different devices. I don't think it's your
drive, which is the good news. The bad news is I've never found a fix and can't
pin down how to make it happen to pass along to Apple.

I'm keen to try this, but what will be the effect of my hard disc not being put

only spinning wheel hard discs? My MacBook Air only has an SSD, so if it only
applies to hard discs then it shouldn't affect me. How is the
That solves the mystery of why I don't have the problem. I run SETI on my
computer and don't want it to go to sleep while it's searching for
possible radio signals. :)

Hello John.
My hard disk is never asleep nor is anything else, as I kept having trouble
with Voice Over. As I don't have a external battery in my I Mac accept for an
internal battery to do with the clock or something, I felt that I didn't have
to worry about putting the Mac to sleep. Probabl
Hi guys:
None of the solutions to no voiceover when waking my mac seem to work reliably.
So, on the advice of a friend who found this tip on a forum (no audio after
waking isn't unique to the voiceover community) I tried the following.

OK, if you're thinking, well, I got an IPhone/IPod, so maybe I can help,
they're close enough, don't assume that in this case. This problem only
seems to be an issue with an IPad. I've never ever ever! had this happen on
an IPod, nor on an IPhone. Beware.

I'd check some of your vo settings. I really think some of these

Hi,
I've noticed a problem in snow leopard. When I go into any program
with a table, VO starts studdering and keeps saying "Row 1 selected"
and I have to exit the app in order to stop it from freezing. It
mainly happens in the sidebar of text edit and in safari. Anyone else
