Have you tried flicking faster and putting different amounts of presure on the screen? Sure, that's not supposed to make a difference; but, in this case, I sort of wonder. This problem only seems to be an issue with an IPad. I've never ever ever! had this happen on an IPod, nor on an IPhone. Beware. So here's the deal. I wrote about this a while back, but no one really commented at all, so I'm gonna try reasking. I have this totally strange problem where if my IPad is in landscape mode, whether that be the home button on the left, or right, it doesn't matter, it works totally perfectly, but if I have it in portrait mode where the home key is at the bottom center, like normal, whether the rotation is locked, or not, this problem pops up. Basically, let's say I'm on an adjuster, or maybe a ticker item, etc. You know how normally to move those, you one finger flick up/down? Well, if I flick down, to decrament things, or say I'm somewhere and need to move by the rotor setting, like next heading, next character or word, etc. it works fine. No problems. If, however, I then go to one finger flick up on the other hand, Voiceover jumps all over the place! Say I am in a web site in Safari. I want to move the the prior heading. So I two finger twist, until I get to headings. That works perfectly. Now, I one finger flick up, It may jump me 2 or 3 paragraphs up the screen, and land me halfway through the paragraph it randomly jumps me to. It's almost like it's taking my one finger flick gesture as me sliding my finger up to a higher point on the screen to move my focus, rather than it taking it as a flick/swipe, call it whichever you may, same difference. You say bananas I say banonnas. Again, I've never ever! had this issue with any of my IPods, nor any of the IPhone's I've had/used. I've consistently! had this problem with just about every single IPad I've ever used. It's not a matter that the screen is dirty, as I've made very very sure it was clean and had no liquid dammage, or the like. In fact, my IPad is usually in its case, with a screen protector. Even without the protector or case though, I've had this issue. If I use a bluetooth keyboard, I neither have the problem with up/down arrow keys. It seems to only be a touch gesture thing. Without Voiceover running, my mom has been able with no problem at all to move those sliders up/down, left/right by sliding them. It only seems to be effective when Voiceover's turned on. I'm seeing this both in native IPhone apps, as well as in IPad/Universal apps. When dealing with a native IPhone app, I have the problem both when in full screen view, as well as when in the small scaled view. I've tested this both on my IPad which is a 16GB wifi only 3rd gen new IPad, I O S 6, and also have tried with my mom's IPad, which is a 16GB wifi only 1st Generation I O S 5.1.1. I've had this issue with both devices almost 99.999 exponent percent the time. Again, if I'm in landscape mode of any sort, this issue practically never! occurs. It's only seeming to happen with portrait. I thought maybe it just didn't like the speed, or position on the screen I was placing my finger when I did the upward flick, so I tried different places on the screen, as well as different speeds, and in all cases no matter what, the down flick worked, almost every single time, but up flicking almost constantly never works. Have yall got any ideas? This is totally! weird! Thank you kindly, Christopher-Mark Gilland.
