would select a message and a double tap would open it. On the phone, a triple
tap implements a doublet, but from keyboard help it appears that a triple tap

I didn’t mention that I do have track pad commander enabled. I also
should have said that a single finger double tap does work in some places as it
does on the iPhone, example on a close button or in the extras menu. but in
other places such as mail it doesn’t.

I'm not aware of a successful standard gesture to open e-mails via the Trackpad
Commander.There’s no gesture equivalent for Enter.
But what I’ve done was to define my own gesture for VO + j in VO utilities. Now
I’m able to use this gesture to jump to the preview pane and back to the
e-m
