I don't know for sure, but I don't think the toolbar search box is what you
want. Try the cmd-option-f search instead. Also, don't forget that vo-cmd-t
will move to tables, letting you quickly jump to your results even with no
hotspots set.

Hi all,
Well, when I did my search this morning, I interacted with the search text area
in the toolbar and typed in my search. I stopped interacting. When I Erold
around, I didn't see any choices to limit the search, such as to, from, etc. I
am familiar with the table where the messages show up,
Hi Teresa & all,
Heres the easy way to search in mail.
Mark hotspots for each thing that will be needed to jump to.
IE Message table, the actual search field, and at least one of the things you
want limit the search to, like from or to or subject.
It gets very fast even before the first coffee! LO
In Mail search, the results come up in a message table similar to the ones you
find in folders. The thing that's different is that you have to stop
interacting with the search input area first, which is part of the toolbar.

I use Spotlight, even to find an email. It works fine for me, even when I can't

Searching in mail isn't my favorite thing either.
Turn quick-Nav off. Hit command-option-f to get to the search field. Once you
enter your keyword, arrow down, this is where you can narrow down your
selections such as sender, subject, etc. I think once you come across the one

Hi all,
I have never been a big fan of the Mac mail search, and I don't use it that
often. Having just recently upgraded to Mavericks, I kept my classic mail view,
and today was the first time I tried to do a search in mail. In the tool bar, I
found the search box and typed in my term. It seems

Hey all,
Not sure if there is any way to do this. I did a search in mail to pull up all
emails from a sender, and found all the messages except the ones in a recovered
mailbox from Time Machine. For some reason search in mail won't recognize the
recovered mailbox. Is there any way to just searc
