Tum, I am going to have another go at this in a but. One thing that
may or may not be a factor is that I get the message, "QT does not have
access to the camera". There are no preferences and I could not find any
remedy for this.

Hi,
Hmmm. Interesting. I do this all the time with my iPads, but had not tried it
with my iPhone. So, I just did, and it worked perfectly, including the ability
to record in QuickTime.
1. Connect the iPhone to the Mac with the USB charging cable.
2. Open QuickTime.
3. Unlock your iPhone.
Oh I forgot to answer this one. No I don't hear the iPhone through
the Mac.

Hi,
Two things. First, to address the Photos thing. When in the Photos app on
your Mac, you can interact with the Navigation bar in the Photos screen and
uncheck the box for that prompt. Second, check that your iPhone is visible
when in iTunes. I believe that you need to have trusted the in
Hi Tim,
I finally had some time to do this. After selecting "New Movie
Recording", in the "Show Capture Devices" pop-up I am not seeing the
iPhone choice. I know the Mac sees it because I am asked if I want to
allow access to Photos. Would to stop that. Anyway, did I miss a step?

Hi ET,
Yes Zoom can do it.
The Avid Pro tools beta teem I'm on uses zoom to capture everything including

I use it on my mac mini while testing Pro Tools, I'd half to refer to my notes

Hi,
This is totally doable on iOS if you also have a Mac. You can connect the iOS
device to your Mac with the USB charging cable. Go to QuickTime on your Mac
