The trick is to search for the term mini TosLink. I guess TosLink is the
fiber optic cable you would run from a DVD player to a surround sound
system (the square connector things) and a mini Toslink is the special
one that ends in a plug that is shaped like a mini headphone jack. Here
is one fr
Hi Chris.
I think I will buy such a cable, do you know where I can buy it and what do I
need to search for.
Thank you an advance.
Best regards Annie.

fiber optic cable from your headphone jack to your receiver. All digital

those little square connectors in the back which are hooked to my Mac

too. I am both using it for recording, but also for connecting to my receiver
to get better sound. I have no HDMI on my receiver, and it is difficult to find
a stereo receiver with HDMI.

Do you need a 'card' or just an interface? For my little bit of
recording I use the Art USB Dual Pre which takes two XLR or 1/4" mic or
line level inputs and appears as a USB audio device which you can then
record with whatever you like. It's 16-bit 44Khz resolution so if you're

My external sound card is broken, and I need a new one. I need a high end sound
card thunderbold or USB 3.0. I use it for recording with protools and in the
future I will try to use logic. I also use it for connecting to my receiver to
obtain better sound quality.
Best regards Annie.
