You should be able to change this yourself. Go to https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/macvisionaries
and find the My Settings Popup button. When you action that you can pick "Membership and email Settings". That pops up a dialog and four tab stops down you'll find a settings popup which for me says "Send me an email for every new message (about 61 per day)" which you can hit enter on. That will give you other choices, including "Don't send email updates". If you pick that then tab two more times to Save you should stop getting email without unsubscribing. When you get back just change your setting back to what you had.
