Hi Andrew
Do you have a copy of Fine Reader Pro or something similar? If not do you have
a copy of PDFScan Plus. It is an iOS app developed by Smile, the makers of Text
Expander and PDFPen. PDFScan+ should do what you want but you might not

Hi,
yes, I did try to put the file through OCR (FineReaderPro) but no good results.
I might try and print it and scan it to see if I get anywhere with it.
Otherwise, yes, I will tell them I can’t access the annotations.
Thanks

Have you tried an OCR package over the PDF file or actually tell them it's

Hi!
Don't forget about ABBYY finereader for the mac. It is not very expensive and
it does a great job scanning images like your pdf file.

Hi,
If you have an iPhone and dropbox, you can get the KNB reader app and it will
convert that image PDF into text.
Or, if you’d like to send it to me, unless it’s confidential information i can
convert it into text for you.
God bless.

Yes, PDF Pen Pro is definitely a Mac program. You can get it from the app store
or you can go to their web site. If you go to the web site, you can call up a
demo program. The Url for the web site is smilesoftware.com.

Hi Keith
I suppose you might not find this out at work, but has anybody said when the
2013 braille copies are coming out? I need it to figure out my credits.
I regret to say that the braille copies are 2012 copies.

HI,
You’re welcome. I just wanted to poke my nose in here and say that. You see, I
work for the company that contracted to the GPO/IRS to provide accessible
forms. We worked really hard at making this possible and I am glad to see all
the good feedback.

Hi,
Just FYI the following article from MacWorld confirms what Esther said:

You can disable and delete browser extensions in Safari preferences, from the

I couldn't find the option for disabling plug-ins and Safari preferences. I

however, is there anything else that will get disabled besides Adobe?

Can't you just uninstall Adobe Reader from your user account anyway as you
shouldn't need it? Or do other people use your account who like Adobe? I would
have also thought you could disable plugins from the Advanced tap in Safari
Preferences.

Nothing drastic should happen other than Adobe not working within Safari which
is immaterial for you anyway. If you wish to be careful, just move the two
Adobe PDF Viewer plug-ins out of the folder and onto your Desktop. This should

Hi,
Take a look in the Library folder of your Macintosh HD volume. Look for
Internet Plug-Ins. There should be two items related to Adobe Reader right
near the top of the list. Try deleting the first plug-in and see what happens
for you.

Hi,
you could use Quicklook for this. Just press CMD + y while you're sitting on or
in the e-mail.
Or you could save the pdf file on your hard drive via the menue. Then you can
read it as usual.
All the best

Hi May,
On the mac, if you need this often, then abbyy fine reader is a good solution.
Its interface has a combobox where you input where your image is coming from,
so either a scanner or a file, and the next combo box lets you decide what to
convert it to. It is that simple, but it does cost 80

Hello Amber,
The PDF documents you are unable to read could either be protected or just
images. If they are the latter, you'll need an OCR application to read them.
