Hi folks,
I'm a bit late to the party on this sorry, but I hope it might still help
somebody.
I just checked, and a little app I bought called mp3 converter converts from
flac into mp3. I got it ages ago from the app store for about $5. It's really
easy to use, and converts audio and video fi
Select each track, press command I and go in to each column and there you can
rename your tracks and amend the information. It's time consuming.

Since whenever I send you a personal message off list, your email treats me as
a spam, but would you be willing to do a podcast on how to organize your music
in a way that fits everyones needs? I for one loved the way windows media
player organized my music, but can't find out how to do the sam
I'm not bothered about Itunes as I'll use it as I have no problem. However, I'd
refuse to use Itunes in a window environment. I am happy with I tunes as I can
play my music without worrying.

Hi Ricardo.
My main complaint with ITunes is that id does "manage" my media. I don't want
it or any player to do that. For example, I have thousands of audiobooks here
on a hard drive, many of which have broken or missing tags. Same with music.
I have a hole collection of flac files, many o
For me, I just hate having two copies of everything, one on my external drive
and another in the ITunes folders. I know I can set ITunes to not copy over
files when adding to the ITunes Library: however, every single time I tried
this, ITunes crashed. While I do prefer the new look of ITunes,
Lol,
I know I'm probably going to be in the minority here but, I honestly don't have
many problems with iTunes, Especially on the Mac. Do people not like iTunes
because it forces you to handle your music in a specific way you aren't
accustom to or, want? Or is there other reasons. Because fo
Well, if you have Amadeus Pro, you could use batch to convert to .m4a and put
that on your Iphone.

So, if I want to convert for purposes of getting the tunes on my phone, do I
convert to mp3 or m4A, or does it matter -- will either work for iTunes
integration?

Oh, I am not much of an iTunes fan, but all things being equal, not being
overly tech-savvy (mostly because life doesn't provide the time to learn how to
become so), it just seems less cumbersome to deal with it.

Of course, another way to get music on to your Iphone is by using Wondershare
Mobilego for IOS to be found here.

Both Mac and the other version can be found there.

Hi Christine,
Sorry, I can't help being a bit sarcastic when it comes to ITunes. I really
think switching to vlc is good advice. I just can't stand anything about
ITunes. It seems to have worked for you too, so hopefully we're good.
As far as getting the music onto your phone, there's dropbo
You could also do the conversions With max for free from http://www.sbooth.org.
Esther, what problem did you encounter with fluke? It's just a driver package.
You install it, and then import flac files into your itunes library along side
your mp3's. It also adds support for flac to the quickl

If you want to import the flac files into itunes and preserve their lossless
quality, two programs that work well with voiceover are xld and flac tunes.

Hi Christine,
VLC will certainly play those files, and is a good program to have on
your Mac. The FLAC conversion to another format is only a suggestion
if you want to be able to transfer and play the music files to an
iPhone or other iOS device, or to an iPod. Another non-iTunes music

Thanks, Esther. I will give Easy Music a whirl, since I would like to convert,
but I did download VLC, and the files are playing perfectly.

Hi Christine,
If you just want to convert the FLAC files to mp3 format in order to
play it, a number of people have used a new Mac app named Easy Music

There's a mac app called alltomp3. Will that work?

So if I download and install VLC, how does this impact my pre-existing iTunes
library? Does this also mean I will not be able to get these tunes onto my
iPhone?

Flac stands for free lossless audio codek. They ar compressed audio files that
can be decompressed to the exact specification of the original audio. No
quality loss.
Apple doesn't support these as far as I know which is a great loss. You can do
one of two things. The Approach I recommend if
