Hi Ricardo.

My main complaint with ITunes is that id does "manage" my media. I don't want
it or any player to do that. For example, I have thousands of audiobooks here
on a hard drive, many of which have broken or missing tags. Same with music.
I have a hole collection of flac files, many of which would have to be
retagged. My old roommate spent over 3 months retagging his music collection
so that it would go into ITunes properly. I don't like the overhead it blows
on large collections. I don't like the 20 and 30 step processes required to do
things like burning a CD. I can't stand the issues like the one that started
this discussion where Apple has decided they don't want to support flac or some
other type of media and forced you to go out and do some fiddly-assed
workaround to get your flacs into your library. I have a lot of the same
complaints with windows media player and other players. I don't want a media
manager. If Itunes would let me turn off it's library and play an mp3 without
giving me any crap, you'd never hear me complain. Other players don't force
you to import your files in a certain way. It's optional. You can do it if
you want, but if not, you just get on with the music.

Best,

Erik Burggraaf
