Larry, I have gotten as far as setting things up in DBT Global settings. Even though I added the embosser in system prefs, DBT does not see it in the write to port dialog. I put the word null in the write to file dialog as you did but that did not help. When I add the embosser in system

Larry, Made a bit of progress. Checking the cable, I realized I had a USB extender cable in there so took it out. As soon as I selected it in prefs, the embosser started spitting out paper. Once it stopped, the embosser went into error mode. But if I left it alone, I could add the embosser.

The details are fuzzy now and I’m a relative Mac newcomer so the procedures aren’t burned in yet, but if I recall correctly, I made sure it was turned on and plugged it in. I think I had to go to Printers and Scanners and add it. It found it and identified it as a generic postscript printer.

Anders, I took another look at the specs of the Everest v5 and find its the same weight but the sheet feeder adds to the dimensions. Its also about $800 more than the Basic D v5. But I like the idea of being able to put the thing anywhere and send jobs via wifi. And a sheet feeder would make

The only difference betweem the Everest and Basic is the Everest is sheet fed, not tractor fed? That might be more convenient since one would not have to have a box of paper on the floor in just the right position. Well one day I hope to get my hands on one and see for myself. Appreciat
