That's a new one, I've never heard of that. All I can suggest is a reset, and a
disk permissions repair if it still doesn't work. Also be sure you've unzipped
the zip file first, but I don't think you can avoid unzipping on the Mac like
you can on Windows.

looked around and couldn't resist taking the wifi status script, you did invite
me in! That too is working brilliantly so thanks very much. Such small things
but so much easier, not need to multi-task. Again thank you f
I have a script for this, and several other things besides. Here's the link to
the full zip file. There's a Readme in there which you should read first. Let
me know if you have trouble.

Thanks Eugenia. I have taken up Shawn's offer and emailed a request to him.
Right option key and letter t is already set to give the time and date by

Hi there
Alex was the one that sent me that too, and I have another one that you can use
with the option key and the T to get the time also.

Hi Janine. I have an Apple Script I could give you that designates right
option+B as a hotkey to read battery status. Other than that, there's nothing I
know of. If you want it, email me off list and I'll gladly send it.

I don't have my 5th generation anymore, but from my memory, Unfortunately I
don't think there is with VoiceOver. The batter icon is up in the tiny status
bar at the top. if you *could* (questionable) check the status it would be in
settings, about, and come to think of it, voiceover doesn't re
When I started checking the battery, I was reviewing e-mail, I don't think I
had been on the internet, so the variation in the report threw me. Thanks for
the explanation, I'm glad it's not my system, as I've had enough issues to deal
with this month.
