Hello,
I did try using the terminal last night and still no go. The process s
up from.
If you have the bootable Catalina installer the full package then
it would be easier by far to create the installation media from
the terminal command line.

Hello,
Well I downloaded install disk creator and it does have a much better interface
than disk maker X. When I used it, it appeared to h

Hmmm, could be. I think mine are USB 3. I've never had trouble with
them and have been using the same ones for probably 3-4 years.

Hello,
Well I downloaded install disk creator and it does have a much better interface
than disk maker X. When I used it, it appeared to have worked. However when I
go into system preferences/startup disk the flash drive is not listed. No
matter what I do I cannot get this to work. I have a new
Hi Greg,
I’m not familiar with the utility you are trying to use, however the link to
the article below may provide a useful alternative.
Keep in mind, that you will need to be using a USB flash-drive of at least 16
GB in order to create a bootable Catalina installer.

I would suggest this app, Install Disk Creator insteaa of DiskMaker
X. I had trouble with that one so threw it out. Also, you need at least
a 16gig stick.
