Hello,
You have to interact with the text and use VO-FN-Up or Down Arrow. If you’re in
TextEdit and this doesn’t work, you’ll need to Wrap to Page using Cmd-Shift-w.

Hello Simon,
FN-Up Arrow and FN-Down Arrow are indeed the equivalents to the Page Up and
Page Down keys on an extended keyboard, but they do not move any cursors. They
are purely visual effects and therefore useless to a VoiceOver user.
Adding the VO keys makes them move the VO cursor in

Hello Candie,
The page up and page down commands don’t appear to work in emails. However, if
you interact with the text, the other VO commands will work. With Quick Nav on,
you can set the rotor to Paragraphs and only have to press the down arrow.

I am still having difficulty going up and down a page on the mac. For example
when I'm reading through a long email and want to move down by page, I press
the function key along with the vo keys and down arrow, and all I hear is a
beep and nothing happens. The left and right arrow keys will move
while left and right become home and end.

This revolves around the function key and the arrow keys. Function left and
right arrow is home and end, and function up and down is page up and page down,
hopefully I'm not getting those mixed up.

Hi Kimber:
Sorry: should have been more clear about that. When using a laptop, the arrows
in conjunction with the FN key at the bottom left of the keyboard perform these
functions: with fn up and down arrows being pageup and pagedown, and fn left
and right arrows being home and end. Sometimes,
FN plus left equals home.
FN plus right equals end.
FN plus up equals page up.
FN plus down equals page down.
HTH.

Hi again,
I notice my keyboard has no home, end, page up or page down keys. How do I
accomplish these functions without these keys?
Thanks,
Kimber

Based on Ester's excellent advice, I just experimented a bit with Syrinx.
Here's how to scroll down a page at a time:

Hi Jonathan,
I can use Control-v to move down a page in TextEdit without setting
mouse follows VoiceOver cursor, but you asked about use in Pages as
well as in TextEdit. I usually have TextEdit set to work with plain
text files by default, which is better for multi-lingual use. In that
